BS +++You silly man with a blanket! What can I say about this show and theater without being too bias. First of, it's a clean and small venue. The seats are roomy and perfectly placed. The seats we got had slight obstruction but it was fine. The venue was however cold and did not do a good job with the smoke or smoking going on the stage. The smell and the smoke was literally getting stuck in the vents and getting blown to our faces that my son started sneezing, my wife's eyes started water profusely that most of the show she had her eyes closed, and I was getting a migraine. BUT!!! The show was so freaking good and the interactions and evolutions of their relationships was nicely done. This show deserves what it got. The talented cast needs to truly get on the road and tour and have an album set. My fave was masquerade! It had each butt cheek bouncing around my chair. Truly a great show! Glad we came to watch it and enjoyed the laughter, confusion, the fake smoke, and most of wall the trauma and tears.Highly recommended! Visit and tell them Mick (ig: The_freakin_vegan) sent you! You will not be disappointedTrust me - I'm a vegan 😉 🥕Boomsauce Scale:BW - basura (trash)BS - basic (come on! Try harder)BS + - better (Yo! That's better)BS ++ - best (alright! Alright! Alrightttt!)BS +++ - Amazing location! now that's boomsauce!

Nice small theater. Our seats were nice, good view. Did not seem far at all. The only issue was a few larger hairdos directly in front, but easy to manage. Left Front Mezzanine Row D, seats 113 - 115. I think the best bang for your buck would be the first row in this section

If you’re considering going to Stereophonic sit middle to back on the first floor or front 1/4 of the mezzanine. If you’re too close you’ll miss some action happening in the studio. The theater is small enough that the nuance of the characters will still read well without being too close. I was in Row C and center in orchestra and wish I was just a tad further back.Don’t waste your time trying to get concessions during intermission. Only go down if you need to use the restroom, it’s a nightmare getting down there. The venue does a poor job of routing people and most the staff was rude to people confused by the chaos instead of helping. Signs and an announcement at top of intermission would make it more clear which stairwell to take for ladies and gentlemen. House right is men, left for women. Exiting the theater after the show is a grind.*Stereophonic isn’t a musical, it’s a drama about the peaks and valleys of creating music and if you have history in that industry it will hit close to home 😅 - you maybe get one complete song through the play and plenty of snippets, it’s nuanced and well done if you know what you’re walking into.

Just saw Stereophonic, and man what a performance! Excellent show with great sound, in a smaller intimate theater. Front mezzanine seats were awesome (honestly all seats seemed good.. orchestra seats seemed a bit low imo). Very cool and unique concept for a show -- I love the stage design, the audio controls and setup, the wonderful original music, and the amazing performances from all actors. However I'm removing one star, not for the chaotic bathroom lines, but for the drink selections at the concession stand - specifically for beer. We have dozens of local breweries in NYC, and you're serving 12oz bottles of Coors light, Sam Adams, and Corona for $15. I believe in you Golden Theatre, you can do better!

I really liked this theatre. The only downfall is the intermission queues. Lines for the bar and the bathrooms intertwine and it is very confusing. The stage view is very nice. Fun fact, for Stereophonic, they use 31 white stage lights above the stage.

Orchestra seating is pretty good (except for far left and right for Stereophonic) but seats in rear mezz are just way too high up.

Love the small size and the seating. The seating does give short or tall people some advantage in viewing the stage. Seats are a little small, but they all are honestly. Saw Stereophonic (4/4/24) and it was pretty great

Cute little theatre. We went there to see the play The Shark is Broken. Great play! Really, we loved it. It was funny and touching and lots of fun. Great actors and a great script, taking you behind the scenes of one of Hollywood's greatest films. We bought rush tickets on the morning of the show, and got front row tickets for a great price. The place itself is very nice.

Went to the John Golden Theatre, in order to see the play, The Shark is Broken. It's a small, quaint, playhouse with very good acoustics, comfortable seats,...

Great little theater. Even with a seat 3 rows up from the back, the view is solid and the sound excellent.I saw The Shark is Broken today (which I highly recommend) and it was quite pleasant. That said, not sure if this is Off-broadway, but the seats are petty small as expected in a Broadway show. If you're larger or have broad shoulders, your arms will be as uncomfortable as a JetBlue flight. The process times to get you from queue to seat is fast. The bathrooms are small but easy to access. Just get to them before the rush. There is a bar near the bathrooms.
