Great little theater! We saw Chicago here and gad an amazing time, decently sized seats for Broadway. I'm 6'5" and had no issues. Very clean and good views of the stage from most places.

Came here to watch Chicago. Theater was fine, pretty standard Broadway show theater. Could do with a bit more leg room, but seats were comfy, super fast...

Love the place. Love Chicago. Great band. Some of the dancers really good and some of the cast members seems tired. Make and hair a bit neglected for the ladies. I got the replacements for Velma and Kelly… dommage… The lady next to me was knitting 😳 But We had a good time. I recommend 💫

Went to watch Chicago. Old school Broadway no woohoo of hi tech and special effects or other gimmicks . It’s back to basics. Old fashioned acting, with sensational acting and singing, sensational choreography, fantastic orchestra. Had the luck to watch the spectacular performance of Jinkx Monsoon, Robyn Hurder and Charlotte d’Amboise. The theatre is beautiful and small; seats are very close together all over.

Another sweet spot on Broadway. 🎭 These historic NYC theaters are gems. The sound quality could have been a bit better for the vocals. Nearly perfect performance by the orchestra. Great show. This theatre is charming.

Loved the theatre! Went to the musical Chicago which is an absolute must see when in NYC. The people were really nice when guiding you to your seat and the guy who sold the drinks and snacks was hilarious. The only downside about this building was the bathrooms. There were 7 for the ladies, and with a full theatre it caused a long line. However, once it was moving, it wasn’t too bad. Overall, really recommend going to the Ambassador Theatre!

Stunning little theater, careful of the bar... super pricey.Chicago's screen play amazing with a super cast. One of the main performers was out and the under study stood in, she did great, but the main cast was spectacular

I've never seen Chicago before andI absolutely loved it!The front row does include a bit of neck craning, but it wasn't too bad. In return, you get wonderful access to the actors.Tip: The red wine is expensive and served in plastic beakers that leak everywhere. Avoid it unless you're wearing claret red or black.

We went to see the Chicago Broadway show. The theater is not so small, but the visibility is really good from almost everywhere. We had our seats in the mezzanine and we ha the chance to enjoy the show really well. I strongly recommend to experience this!

It is a decent theater, quite small for Broadway. The nice thing about it is that you always have a pretty good view, however at least where we were sitting the seats are very close together. We were in the mezzanine and my knees were almost brushing the back of the head of the person in the row in front of me. Zero leg room. Also the hallways are, cozy especially at intermission there really isn't a place to stretch your legs except in the isles. That said the staff was excellent and they did do what they could to mitigate these limitations. We saw Chicago which was a good fit for the theater since it has an on-stage band and there really aren't set or costume changes. All in all I wouldn't be racing to come back to this one, but it was not a bad experience either.

For my first Broadway show, it definitely did not disappoint. I loved Chicago from the beginning to the very end!! The ambassador theatre has a retro feel to that and I would go back to see another performance. One of the best nights of my life.

Saw Chicago. First show ever in NYC. Wonderfully intimate theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Sound system was excellent. Not too loud, but good intelligibility. Decent drinks, though very small selection of beverages. Could use more bathrooms, but that would more benefit the ladies than the fellows.

Small theater, seemed like a good view from any seat. We sat center, up front and I felt very close to the performance. Chicago was phenomenal, you can see why it's been on Broadway for so long. Key things to note: Only 1 bathroom- the line for the women was very long before the show and at intermission. They had people walking around selling drinks like at a concert which seemed quicker than standing in the bar lines. There were two lines for entrance, we walked to the 2nd one away from times square. I will definitely come back!

It was a little smaller than I expected but gave an intimate feel for watching Chicago. Sound was very good. Seats are small and tight but that is to be expected for an older theatre.

A brilliant theatre with a brilliant performance of Chicago. The narrow depth of the theatre means all seats are winners. You feel like you’re right there with the cast.** I’ve now been back twice. Slightly different cast and updated performance. I couldn’t have asked for more. In-house drinks are a shocking price so save yourself for a glass of wine afterwards rather than in the intermission!

The show was fantastic. The use of stage was brilliant. We purchased our Orchestra seat tickets at the box office about an hour before the show started. The view was fantastic. Everything was great this night at Ambassador Theatre.

Such an amazing show! First timer, really enjoyed it. Was able to see Ariana Madix as Roxie and she absolutely shined. Full cast, was of course phenomenal. Great theater, but a bit on the smaller side so the seats were cramped even for me (5’1). Best advice if you frequent the rest room, get to the theater early to use before the show. During intermission the line reached the stage and the rest room is on the second floor.

I had a fantastic time at the Ambassador, my husband and I came to see Chicago and it was great. The staff is really nice, I was comfortable enough in my chair and it’s very easy to get in and out of the theater. I also appreciated the express bar service on the balcony and the quality of the sound (I was on the second balcony). We had booked seats on the first row of our sections therefore we had much more space for our legs than the people behind us. I think we would have had a much less comfortable experience if we had not done that, soI would definitely recommend booking this type of seats to anyone above 5,3.

I saw Chicago here, a musical where dance is a key element in the story telling, and even waaaay back in the Rear Mezzanine (less pricey seats), the view was perfect. Wonderful performance. Beautiful dancers. Sincere actors. Professional ushers. And the audience was on their best behavior, which was a relief. 🤭Great time. Though it's definetly not a show for children.Regarding the theater itself, my advice is to arrive an hour early. Yes, the doors only open 30 minutes before the show, but it's a lot easier to find your seat when you're one of the first in the theater. Also, the ushers have a lot more patience with you before the crowd of people come in 15 minutes before showtime.

Extremely underwhelmed. This was the only show we saw on our visit and I wish I had seen something else. The seats were insanely uncomfortable. The bathroom line for intermission was insane and the worker standing outside the line screaming “move it along ladies” for 15 min was not helpful. Also didn’t hear anyone screaming move it along men to the men’s line which was just as long. The entire production included nothing but a few chairs. For something that has been this long standing on broadway, I would have expected a few more effects and a bit more scenery. I found the act engaging at times, but boring at most. One positive is that there are no bad seats and the theater itself is beautiful. Just disappointed in the lackluster production. Definitely would not recommend if you are only picking one show to see. Go see one of the many other amazing productions broadway has to offer

Beautiful theatre Womderful show!! The actress who played Roxy Hart is the epitome of less is more darling! They way she engaged with the audience was superb. I felt like she understood "Fosse style" she brought Roxy to Life!!! I wish I could thank her for making my childhood dream of seeing Chicago on Broadway come true. I lived vicariously through her performance. Much ❤

The mezzanine seats are great! I would have liked the barrier in front of me to be a bit shorter because I couldn't see over them too well. But, the theater is intimate and comfy.

Saw Chicago for the third time but first time at this venue. Smaller theatre, and a very nostalgic production. Amazing cast and energy. Two things that weren't so great: bathroom wait lines veered into the orchestra seating section and ridiculous generic wine and beer prices. We paid $100 for 3 half full 8 oz plastic coffee cups of wine and one box of candy. Did keep the cups though!

Perfect location, walking distance from major attractions in NYC. Could use a little refurbishment, but still a comfortable experience watching one of my fave shows - Chicago. The attendants were all helpful and courteous. If you're in NYC, include Chicago in your list of things to do.

What an incredible show! We were lucky enough to catch a 7:30pm showing of Chicago and wow, what an amazing, classic musical. We were right on the front left of the front row so we could touch the edge of the stage. If you don’t mind missing some of the action on the very left side of the stage, this is an awesome place to sit. We could see every detail, the spit, the sweat, everything, it was very cool. The show was outstanding, the performers were engaging, very talented and a lot of fun to watch. We even scored Jinx Monsoon as Mama and wow did she slay that role! The theatre itself is a classic beautiful theatre, easy to access from the street and the staff were helpful in helping us find our seats. Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for drinks - to be expected!Highly highly recommend Chicago if you are looking for a classic musical, it was a very fun show.

Wonderful small theatre. Seats are a little cramped, but that's expected of tgese older theaters. We were in the upper mezzanine and had a perfect view. Chicago was amazing!!!They have a guy selling drinks and snacks which is cool... But $31 dollars for a plastic cup of cheap wine? I get this is NYC, but come on 🙄 you'd probably sell way more if it was actually somewhat reasonable. That's the highest I've seen at any concert or event I've been to in my life.

Saw Chicago here and loved it! The staff were amazing and helpful. The cast was amazing and the show was spectacular. Seats weren't too expensive and I could see well even though I'm short and sat in the rear mezzanine. Only wish they had more stalls/bathrooms but people moved quick. The seats were also comfortable and the theatre was maintained well.
